Honda CBR15R Review
Honda CBR 150R Bike a light sports bike which is designed keeping in mind the much-in-demand authentic andsophisticated looks of the bike. The bike is designed in an appealing look which is irresistible in the very first look.
Design
The bike looks proportionate and compact than its elder sibling 250cc which makes it appears more sporty and nimble. It’s Aerodynamic bold body design is what shouts for its elegance making it stand out of the crowd. The
From the front, the bike looks classy with its multi-reflector headlamp which offers clear visibility during night driving and also in the worst of weather condition. The new CBR is little broader from its fascia but looks as bold and aggressive as its predecessor.
Comparing to its elder sibling, the new CBR 150R comes with tad smaller exhaust; the trellis type diamond frame on CBR 250R is replaced by Steel tube constructed twin spar frame. The plastic panel included in the bike is again quite similar except for their relatively smaller and skinnier size.
Adding to the style are the black colored rear view mirrors and just below that are stylish handlebars with accompanying sporty windscreen. The switchgear is stunner but the major blunders are ‘engine kill switch’ and the ‘pass switch’.
Engine & performance
New Honda CBR 150R bike is bestowed with 4 valves engine which is revved by its double overhead cam and under square bore. The engine is a 149cc powertrain which is a liquid cooling type, can churn out the maximum power of 18BHP but with high RPM level of 10500.
The bike can produce approx. 12.66Nm at 8500 RPM and its 6 speed transmission box further ensures better pilot work levels with the bike. When used in city, the engine doesn’t heat up quickly and neither shows any sign of fatigue.
Mileage & Fuel Economy
Honda CBR 15R Bike is loaded 149cc engine capacity with liquid cooled 4-stroke engine. The bike comes with fuel injection system which makes use of every single drop of fuel through this fuel efficient bike.
The bike can deliver decent mileage between 30 to 35kmpl.
Handling, suspension & comfort
The handling of the new bike is highly accountable on all counts. You cannot call it too sharp but yes it’s definitely gives you quick turn-ins and indirectly good sense of security to the rider.
The suspension is a balanced version of not too hard and too plush which is quite missed on its elder version. During strong and cross wind situations, the bike offers good stability and offers much comfort and firmness in the day long runs.
Talking about comfort, the bike offers high comfort to the pillion, probably better than what R15 and KTM Duke 200 offers. You will feel the ‘spaciousness’ factor while riding or sitting on the bike during long rides.
Colors
The new Honda CBR 15R Bike is available in Three colors including Black with Pearl sunbeam white and Sports red with pearl sunbeam white.
