The Aston Martin Vantage has been used on a number of Aston Martin vehicles over the years. It typically indicates a higher performing version of a former Aston Martin model. In one such case, between the years of 1972 and 1973, the Vantage was its own distinct Aston Martin model. The Aston Martin Vantage was known for being a straight six model of the normally V8 DBS. It was announced as a successor to the DB series.
