Fuel and exhaust systems fuel injection – K Jetronic – 16 valve engines

The components of the fuel injection system K-Jetronic mounted 1.8 liters 20V engine are as shown (see illustrations). All the procedures are the same as described in part b of this chapter, except those listed in the following sections.
Idling adjustment – 2
1. run the engine to normal operating temperature, then check that all electrical components are turned off. Note that the electric cooling fan must not be running during the adjustment procedure.
2. disconnect the crankcase ventilation hose (see illustration).
3. connect a tachometer and an exhaust gas Analyzer engine.
4. whether the injector tubes have been removed and reassembled just prior to setting, run the engine at 3000 rpm several times then leave it inactive for at least two minutes.
5. check which, when the ignition is switched on, the control valve idle stabilisation is felt a buzz. If not, check your system with reference to section 3.
6. disconnect the wiring plug to the idle stabilisation system. This is located near the ignition coil (see illustration).
7. allow the engine idle, then check to see if the idle speed is 1000 ± 50 rpm. If necessary, remove the CAP and turn the adjustment screw of idle speed as required (see illustration).
