2014 Audi R8

Audi R8
Audi presents the Detroit International Auto Show 2013 three improved versions of its supercar, the Audi R8 V8, R8 V10 and V10 R8 Plus.

Some of the changes include the new dual clutch transmission 7-speed S Tronic, which helps reduce the acceleration time to 60 mph in 0.3 seconds and the transition between gears is much smoother than the previous generation.

The most powerful version is the R8 V10 Plus with 550 horsepower and 398 lb.-ft. of torque. It can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 3.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 196 miles per hour. This weighs 100 pounds less than the R8 V10 version thanks to extensive use of carbon fiber, ceramic brakes, fuel tank smaller and Alcatraz seats manuals.

Outside we found some improvements. The most obvious detail is its new LED front headlights (standard for all versions), the new hexagonal grille Singleframe, new side mirrors and exhaust pipes. Besides the taillights have innovative directional signals.

The Audi R8 V10 S Tronic transmission reaches 60 mph in 3.4 seconds, generates 525 HP and 391 lb.-ft. of torque. Its top speed is 195 miles per hour. On the other hand, the Audi R8 FSI produces 430 HP, 317 lb-ft, it takes 4.2 seconds to reach 60 mph and can accelerate to 186 mph.

All models have options 6-speed manual transmission and / or the S Tronic. The Audi R8 Spyder is available with both engines (V8 and V10). The V10 Plus is offered only as a coupe.
