Suzuki stopped selling cars in the United States

Suzuki company decided to reduce its activity in the country to the plane of motorcycles, ATV and its maritime division due to financial problems.

The restructuring decided by the ASMC (American Suzuki Motor Corporation) under Chapter 11 of the bankruptcy law aims to realign its operations policy setting aside the sale of new cars in the United States.

The aim of this maneuver is to achieve economic success ASMC long term, given that the divisions that continue to operate are competitive and are well positioned in their respective markets, which enables growth as the general conditions continue to improve.

The reasons for the automotive division ceases operations are numerous: the low volume of sales, the limited number of models in its line-up, the unfavorable exchange rates between currencies, the high cost of maintaining a distribution network and costs rise to meet federal requirements of the U.S. market.

ASMC says Suzuki car owners are protected and that all existing warranties will be honored.
