SmartMAP Model SM 300 xxx Installation instructions

What is the SmartMAP?
SmartMAP SS 300 model replaces the check valve and Rev limiter assembly used by most kit Honda/Acura turbo and compressor and prevents the engine computer (ECU) to turn off the engine when the manifold pressure is above atmospheric (boost).

How does the SmartMAP?
The SmartMAP connects in line with the manifold absolute pressure sensor (map) (OEM) and limits the current map that is applied to the ECU. The voltage limit (clamp) is preset and cannot be adjusted.

The sensor Honda/Acura NSX map inventory has a range of about 0.5 V output in high vacuum at about 2.7 V to atmospheric pressure (wide open throttle NSX normally aspirated). With a turbo or supercharger installed, will increase manifold pressure above atmospheric and the map sensor voltage will rise above 2.7 V. At some voltage V 2.7 above, the ECU NSX will assume that there is a problem with the sensor and not turned off the engine, because under normal conditions (no turbo/SC), the output of a map ever exceed approximately 2.7 V. The model SM-300-SmartMAP 275 prevents the ECU shuts down the engine, reducing the voltage to the ecu map sensor to 2.75 V-0/+ 0.15 V.

Application for Acura/Honda vehicles
The model SM-300 SmartMAP-275 was originally designed for the Honda/Acura NSX. Should also work on other Acura/Honda vehicles that have a sensor map with an output voltage of Honda/Acura NSX.
